Grand Traverse County

About the Coalition

Overview

Northern Michigan Health Coalition is committed to coordinating outreach, education, screening, prevention, and treatment for all with a special focus on low-income residents in Grand Traverse, Leelanau, and Benzie counties. The coalition hopes to utilize funds to strengthen the Perinatal Fast-Track project. The Grand Traverse region aims to educate a diverse staff from multiple dental clinics on a mechanism to collect and share accurate data related to Perinatal Fast-Track appointments to know if efforts are effective and to continually better serve patients. Additionally, the coalition hopes to educate the community on the effort and fast-track appointment policy guarantees to ensure pregnant women gain access to oral health care in a timely manner to develop the most effective treatment plan during pregnancy and beyond.
